PassMinimum Speed
Where: On roads where very slow-moving vehicles could disrupt the flow of traffic. Typically found on highways, freeways, or main arterial roads where maintaining a steady flow is important for safety.
Purpose: To regulate the minimum speed that vehicles must travel on that section of the road, ensuring smooth traffic flow and reducing the risk of accidents caused by vehicles moving too slowly.
Action Required by Driver: Do not drive slower than the speed indicated on the sign (displayed in km/h). Adjust your speed to at least the minimum limit if road and traffic conditions allow.
- Safety first — maintain caution in poor weather or hazardous conditions; while you must meet the minimum speed under normal conditions, safety always comes first.
- Overtake with care — be aware of other vehicles traveling at or near the minimum speed and avoid unnecessary overtaking that could create hazards.
